Hydraulic pumps, valves, hoses and seals for factories

GODOWN sources hydraulic parts for presses, moulding machines and power packs: pumps, directional and pressure valves, cylinders, hose assemblies, fittings, filters and seal kits. Hydraulic oils have their own page under lubricants.

Hydraulic spares are bought by model number and interface, not by description. A replacement valve must match the mounting pattern, spool function and coil voltage; a hose must match the standard, pressure rating and the threads at both ends. A nameplate photo of the pump or valve, or for a hose the printed layline and both end fittings, is the most useful thing an indent can carry.

With GODOWN as your procurement partner, each hydraulic part comes with a competitive quote, one PO per plant and a GST tax invoice, and delivery is tracked to your gate. A press that is down is raised as urgent and prioritised, and if a part turns out to be wrong, the return is handled for you.

What we source

Hydraulics we source for plants

  • Hydraulic pumps

Gear, vane and piston pumps turn motor power into flow. Gear pumps are simple and economical, vane pumps run quieter, and variable-displacement axial piston pumps suit presses and high pressures.

  • Directional control valves

Solenoid-operated spool valves that start, stop and switch flow to cylinders and motors. Most industrial valves use ISO 4401 mounting patterns, known in the trade as NG6 (CETOP 3) and NG10 (CETOP 5).

  • Pressure and flow control valves

Relief, reducing, sequence and counterbalance valves set and hold pressure; flow control and throttle-check valves set actuator speed.

  • Hydraulic cylinders

Single- and double-acting cylinders in tie-rod and welded designs for presses, clamps, lifts and moulding machines, defined by bore, rod, stroke, mounting and working pressure.

  • Hoses and hose assemblies

Wire-braided and spiral hoses to EN 853, EN 856 or SAE 100R standards, crimped with end fittings to length. Working pressure falls as hose size rises, so specify both.

  • Fittings and adaptors

Hose ends, adaptors and tube fittings in BSP, JIC, ORFS and metric 24° cone forms. Many leaks after a repair come from mixing thread forms that look alike.

  • Seals and seal kits

Rod seals, piston seals, wipers, O-rings and guide rings in NBR, polyurethane, PTFE or FKM to suit the fluid and temperature. A cylinder repack usually needs the full kit.

  • Filters and elements

Suction strainers and pressure and return-line filter elements, rated by micron size. Elements are model-specific, so give the housing make and element number.

  • Power pack parts

Reservoirs, motor-pump couplings, accumulators, oil coolers, pressure gauges and level and temperature switches for hydraulic power units.

Spec checklist

What to put on a hydraulics indent

Vendors quote the right part first time when the indent carries these. Missing details mean a round of calls before anyone can quote.

  • Make and model number from the nameplate of the pump, valve or power pack, and the machine it serves. Hydraulic parts are often interchangeable only within a series.
  • Pumps: type, displacement (cc/rev), maximum pressure (bar), shaft (keyed or splined, with size), direction of rotation viewed from the shaft end, and port type and size.
  • Valves: mounting size (NG6/CETOP 3, NG10/CETOP 5), spool symbol, coil voltage (24 V DC or 230 V AC), connector type and whether a manual override is needed.
  • Cylinders: bore × rod × stroke, mounting (flange, clevis, trunnion, foot), rod-end thread, working pressure and port size.
  • Hoses: inner diameter (dash size or DN), standard and type (EN 853 2SN, SAE 100R2AT), working pressure, overall length including fittings, each end fitting with its thread and angle, and the orientation of bent ends.
  • Thread form at every connection: BSPP or BSPT, JIC 37°, ORFS or metric 24° cone, with size. Measure with a thread gauge or photograph it if unsure.
  • Seals: cylinder make and model, or rod, bore and groove dimensions, with the fluid in use and the working temperature.
  • Fluid: mineral oil (ISO VG 32, 46 or 68) or a fire-resistant fluid, since seal and hose compounds must be compatible with it.

Questions

Buying hydraulics: common questions

How do I order a replacement hydraulic hose assembly?

Give vendors the hose layline and both ends. The layline printed along the hose states its standard, size and working pressure, such as EN 853 2SN DN12. Add the overall length including fittings, the thread and form of each end (BSP, JIC, ORFS or metric 24° cone), the angle of any bent fitting and how the two ends line up. A photo of the old assembly laid straight beside a tape measure helps vendors quote the right part first time.

Can I replace a hydraulic valve with another brand?

Usually, if the valve has a standard interface. Directional valves built to ISO 4401 (NG6/CETOP 3, NG10/CETOP 5) share a mounting pattern across makers, so another brand bolts on when the spool function, pressure rating, coil voltage and connector match. Compare the spool symbol, not just the code, because each maker numbers spools its own way. Pumps and cartridge valves are less interchangeable: give the old model number and ask for the equivalent to be confirmed in the quote.

Which seal material should I specify for a hydraulic cylinder?

Match the seal material to the fluid and the temperature. NBR suits mineral hydraulic oil at normal temperatures; polyurethane resists high pressure and wear, which is why it is common for rod seals and wipers; FKM takes higher temperatures and phosphate-ester fire-resistant fluids; PTFE-based seals give low friction. Polyurethane is generally avoided with water-glycol fluids. Put the cylinder make and model and the fluid in use on the indent, and vendors can quote a matching seal kit.

How quickly can I get a hydraulic part when a press is down?

Mark the indent urgent and attach the nameplate photo: breakdown requirements are prioritised over routine orders, and delivery is tracked to your gate with an ETA. Give everything needed to identify the part first time, such as the model number, spool symbol and coil voltage for a valve, or the layline and end fittings for a hose. If the exact part is obsolete, say whether an equivalent from another make is acceptable. If what arrives doesn't fit, the return is handled for you.
