Industrial consumables for factory stores and maintenance teams

GODOWN is an industrial consumables supplier for factories across Delhi NCR, covering what a plant goes through every week: adhesive tapes, threadlockers and other adhesives, sealants, cable ties, cleaning chemicals, wipers and spill absorbents. These are classic MRO lines: low in value, high in count and bought by many people, so placing each order can take more of a buyer's time than the item is worth.

The fix is a better indent, not a faster phone call. Put the week's consumables on one indent with a line per item, and give each line the grade and size that matters: a 50 ml medium-strength threadlocker, not 'thread glue'. Greases and sprays belong on the lubricants indent.

With GODOWN, every line is quoted competitively and the lot goes on one PO, with delivery tracked to your gate, a GST tax invoice for each delivery, and short supplies and returns handled by us.

What we source

Consumables we source for plants

  • Adhesive tapes

Masking, double-sided, PVC insulation, duct, aluminium foil and polyimide tapes, each defined by backing, adhesive and thickness. Masking tape for paint baking needs a temperature rating that matches your oven cycle.

  • Threadlockers and retaining compounds

Anaerobic adhesives that cure between close-fitting metal parts once air is excluded. Threadlockers come in low, medium and high strength; retaining compounds hold bearings, bushes and gears on shafts.

  • Instant adhesives and epoxies

Cyanoacrylates bond small rubber, plastic and metal parts in seconds. Two-part epoxies fill gaps and repair cracked housings, with cure times from minutes to a day.

  • Sealants and gasket makers

RTV silicone, anaerobic flange sealants, thread sealants and PTFE tape. Use neutral-cure silicone near electronics and copper, as acetoxy grades release acetic acid while curing.

  • Cable ties and mounts

Nylon 6/6 ties in natural for indoor use and UV-stabilised black for outdoor runs, plus stainless-steel ties for heat and corrosion. Sized by length, width and loop tensile strength.

  • Cleaning chemicals and degreasers

Solvent and water-based degreasers, electrical contact cleaners, hand cleaners and surface preparation sprays. Each should come with a safety data sheet for your store and safety team.

  • Wipers and cotton waste

Cotton waste and hosiery rags for general wiping, and low-lint wipers for paint preparation, electronics and cleanrooms.

  • Spill absorbents

Oil-only pads and socks that repel water, universal absorbents for coolants and mixed fluids, and ready spill kits for hydraulic and chemical areas.

  • Marking and identification

Floor marking tape, paint markers, cable markers and ferrules for identifying aisles, panels, cables and storage zones.

Spec checklist

What to put on a consumables indent

Vendors quote the right part first time when the indent carries these. Missing details mean a round of calls before anyone can quote.

  • Tapes: type, width × length (such as 48 mm × 50 m), backing and thickness in microns, adhesive (rubber, acrylic or silicone) and service temperature.
  • Adhesives: the two materials being bonded, the gap to fill, the strength grade, whether the joint must come apart later, cure time and operating temperature.
  • Sealants: cure chemistry (acetoxy or neutral), colour, temperature range, and any food-contact or potable-water requirement.
  • Cable ties: length × width in mm (such as 200 × 4.8 mm), material, colour or UV stabilisation, minimum loop tensile strength and pack quantity.
  • Chemicals and sprays: water or solvent base, flash point, whether it is safe on plastics and rubber, aerosol or bulk, and a safety data sheet with the supply.
  • Shelf life: the manufacturing date or remaining shelf life on adhesives, sealants and tapes, which lose performance in storage.
  • Unit and pack: each, roll, pack of 100, litre or kg, so quotes compare like for like.
  • Brand or equivalent: if your process sheet names a product number, state it and say whether an equivalent grade from another maker is acceptable.

Questions

Buying consumables: common questions

How do I buy small consumables without raising a PO for every item?

Put them on one indent with a line per item, each with the grade, size and pack that matters, and buy against a weekly or monthly list rather than one item at a time. With GODOWN, every line is quoted competitively and everything a plant needs goes on one PO, with a GST tax invoice for each delivery instead of a dozen small bills from a dozen shops.

What is the difference between low, medium and high strength threadlocker?

Strength sets how hard the fastener is to remove. Low strength suits small screws and adjustment screws that must come out easily. Medium strength, the usual maintenance choice, holds bolts against vibration and comes apart with ordinary hand tools. High strength is for assemblies you don't plan to open, such as studs, and usually needs local heat to release. Specify the grade and thread size on the indent, not just 'threadlocker'.

Which silicone sealant is safe for electrical panels?

Use a neutral-cure silicone near electrical and electronic parts. Acetoxy-cure silicone, the kind that smells of vinegar while it cures, releases acetic acid that can corrode copper, contacts and circuit boards. Neutral-cure grades give off non-acidic by-products instead. Specify 'neutral cure' and the temperature range on the indent, and add any food-contact requirement if the sealant will be used on food or packing lines.

What should I check before buying cleaning chemicals and aerosols?

Ask for the safety data sheet first. It gives the flash point, hazards, storage conditions, first aid and the protection needed, which your safety team uses to decide where the product can be stored and used. Then check that it is safe on the plastics, rubber and paint it will touch, and whether it leaves a residue. Contact cleaners for electrical parts should evaporate completely.
