Industrial electronic components for factory machines

GODOWN sources the electronic and semiconductor components that keep machine controls and drives running: IGBT and thyristor modules, diodes and bridge rectifiers, semiconductor fuses, SMPS and power supplies, capacitors, control cards, ICs and connectors. When a drive or controller fails, the fault is often one component, and the right part brings the machine back without replacing the whole unit.

Electronic parts are identified by the exact part number printed on them, so the indent should carry that number, the maker and a clear photo of the marking, plus the equipment the part came from. Many components have equivalents with the same ratings and package, but for power semiconductors and safety circuits, agree an equivalent with your maintenance engineer before accepting it.

GODOWN covers electronic components alongside every other category your plant buys: competitive quotes, one PO, delivery tracked to your gate with a GST tax invoice, and urgent breakdown requirements prioritised.

What we source

Industrial components we source for plants

  • IGBT and power modules

IGBT, MOSFET and intelligent power modules for VFDs, servo drives, UPS and induction heating, specified by part number, voltage and current rating.

  • Thyristors and diodes

SCR and diode modules, bridge rectifiers and fast-recovery diodes for DC drives, heater controllers, battery chargers and rectifier panels.

  • Semiconductor fuses

Fast-acting fuses that protect drives and rectifiers, specified by current and voltage rating, I²t and body style. A standard fuse is not a substitute.

  • SMPS and power supplies

DIN-rail and panel-mount switched-mode power supplies in 12, 24 and 48 V DC, specified by output voltage, current and input range.

  • Capacitors

DC-link electrolytic, film and motor-run capacitors, specified by capacitance, voltage, temperature rating and size.

  • Control cards and PCBs

Replacement cards for drives, PLC I/O, HMIs and machine controllers, identified by make, model, card part number and revision.

  • ICs, optocouplers and discrete parts

Gate drivers, regulators, optocouplers, transistors, resistors and similar parts for card-level repair.

  • Connectors and cable assemblies

M8 and M12 connectors, D-sub and terminal plugs, encoder and servo cables, and ribbon cables.

Spec checklist

What to put on a industrial components indent

Vendors quote the right part first time when the indent carries these. Missing details mean a round of calls before anyone can quote.

  • Exact part number and maker: as printed on the component, including suffixes that set the voltage grade, package or temperature range.
  • Photo of the marking: a clear photo of the part and its label, and of the card or equipment it came from.
  • Equipment it fits: make, model and serial number of the drive, controller or panel, so the quote can be checked against it.
  • Ratings: voltage, current and power, and for capacitors the capacitance and temperature rating, so equivalents can be compared.
  • Package and mounting: module outline, pin count and pitch, through-hole or surface-mount, DIN-rail or panel.
  • Equivalents allowed? Say whether an equivalent is acceptable, and who on your side approves it for power and safety circuits.
  • Quantity and handling: quantity including spares, and anti-static packing for sensitive parts.

Questions

Buying industrial components: common questions

Can I replace an IGBT module with a different brand?

Often, if the voltage and current ratings, the package outline and the pin layout match and the switching characteristics are close. But gate-drive and thermal behaviour differ between makers, so for the power stage of a drive, check the replacement with the drive maker or your maintenance engineer first. Give the exact part number and the drive model on the indent, and say whether an equivalent is acceptable.

How do we avoid counterfeit electronic components?

Buy from authorised distribution or a source that can show traceability, and ask for the manufacturer's date code and lot number. Check the packaging and markings against the datasheet when the parts arrive, and reject parts with sanded or re-printed markings. Be cautious with prices far below the market for parts in short supply. For power and safety circuits, insist on traceable parts.

What do I need to replace a failed SMPS?

Read the label: output voltage and current, input voltage range, make and model. Add the mounting (DIN rail or panel), the size that fits the panel, and any extra outputs such as a DC OK signal. A unit with the same output voltage and a higher current rating is usually a safe replacement; a lower current rating is not. A photo of the label and the panel space helps.

A drive card has failed and the model is obsolete. What can we do?

Indent the card's full part number and revision, with photos of both sides and the drive nameplate. The options are usually an identical card from remaining stock, an equivalent from the maker's successor range, or replacing the drive, and the right one depends on the machine and the cost of downtime. If the machine is down, mark the indent urgent: GODOWN prioritises requirements that have stopped a line.
